NY Insurance Consultant was founded in 2003 in Hewlett, Nassau County — and has been serving the same communities, the same contractors, and the same business owners ever since. Over 20 years, the agency has grown to serve more than 1,600 businesses and families across Nassau County, Long Island, the five boroughs of NYC, Westchester, Rockland, New Jersey, Florida, the Carolinas, and more than 15 states total.

What hasn't changed: every client gets the same honest, thorough review they'd get if they were family. Every contractor GL policy is reviewed for NY Labor Law exposure. Every workers' comp policy is reviewed for classification accuracy. Every commercial auto policy is reviewed to confirm business use is properly covered.

NY Insurance Consultant is an independent insurance agency — which means we're not captive to any single carrier. We work with multiple A-rated carriers including The Hartford, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, CNA, Markel, Philadelphia Insurance, and others. When your risk profile, your trade, or your loss history changes, we find the best market for you — not the easiest sale for us.

Captive agents can only offer their carrier's products. Independent brokers like NY Insurance Consultant have the freedom and obligation to find the coverage that actually fits your business — at the most competitive price available in the market.

Peter Montañez is a native bilingual insurance professional — equally fluent in English and Spanish. For the contractors, salon owners, restaurant operators, and property investors across Nassau County, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx who prefer to discuss their insurance needs in Spanish, there's no language barrier here. Policy explanations, coverage reviews, COI requests, and all client communications are available in both languages.
